Luxurious Floral Wedding Cake at Villa di Maiano

There are exceptions to every rule. I’ve been known to say I’m not a fan of fresh flowers on wedding cakes. And I have a long list of reasons why.

Meet the exception.

When a client comes to me and says they want me to create a work of art cake design, and then they want to put fresh flowers on it, I usually internally (sometimes externally) cringe a little. Unless they tell me Vincenzo Dascanio is designing those flowers. Because then they’re no longer flowers. They become an art instillation.

And this is one of those cakes. For the cake itself I created classic white tiers with a delicate hand piped floral design on the outside and a rainbow design from Tuscan Wedding Cakes signature Luxe cake flavor on the inside.

And then of course there was this STUNNING train of wild and fresh flowers cascading from the cake all the way down the table to the ground created by the insanely talented team of Vincenzo Dascanio. The impact was just breathtaking.
