Mid-Summer Nights Dream Wedding Cake, Tuscany

This fabulous 4-tiered cake had a Shakespearean inspiration. The bottom layer was adorned with ortensia sugar petals. The next layer was gilded in 24-carat gold leaf. The upper two layers were hand-painted in soft pastel violets and blues, with gold piping accents. At the top of the gorgeous cake, a gold sugar rose and hand painted posies.
