Oscar De La Renta Inspired Wedding Cake, Tuscany

I am so often inspired by fashion. By the movement, color and fabrics.

This stunning cake was inspired by the designer’s gorgeous spring 2015 runway show, and reflects the emphasis of beautiful colour with a piped and painted floral background.

This 8-tier cake features an intricate hand painted, brush embroidered floral design in vibrant pinks, blues, yellows, reds, and purples. On the top of the cake is a modern reflective blue sugar rose that takes inspiration from the necklaces that the runway models wore.

Tuscan Wedding Cakes was honoured to be featured in Creme De La Bride in November 2015, as well as the The Daily Meal. Melanie Secciani was selected as one of the 13 Over the Top Bakers from around the world. This includes such talent (and many of my  personal
