Rustic Blossom Branch Wedding Cake, Tuscan Wedding Cakes

My house is almost in the county. A hundred meters from the throat of the Strada in Chianti. And behind my house, there is a road. Mostly dirt and un-trafficked.  All olive groves, fruit trees, and grapevines.

On good evenings, I get to walk that road. And think and dream. And see things in a different light.

So this cake design was really that walk. In late spring, before the peaches, when things have gone a little gold and brown. And everything is warm and shockingly beautiful.

The floral branch is intricately crafted of sugar. A bark pattern, hand painted on all three tiers. Organic inspiration is reflected in all these gorgeous details.
